Thank you for visiting the Bear Fox Music Website. I hope everything is going well in your part of

the "woods", and that there is much care and calmness. I am from the Kanienkehaka, which means, People of Flint. More commonly known as the Mohawk Nation.

In the beginning of my songwriting, my songs were written mainly in Kanienkeha, the Mohawk Language, for our women's group, called Kontiwennenhawi. Kontiwennenhawi translates to "Carriers of the Words". Our language is struggling to survive right now, so it is important to our women's group and I, to put our language into the songs. Many children in the local schools are beginning to sing our songs. We are very proud that we are able to contribute in someway to help with the survival of our language.
